Actor Kieron Culkin has revealed why he doesn't allow his children to watch Home Alone, which stars him and his brother, Macauley Culkin.
The actor, who has daughter Kinsey, 5, and son Wilder, 3, starred alongside his brother Macauley, who plays Kevin McAllister, in the 1990 film Home Alone and its 1992 sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Kieran plays the cousin Fuller. And while both were children when the films were made, the "Legacy" star recently said there are "still some scary parts" his young children can see.
"For the 3-year-old, there's a tarantula and there's a guy at the end who says, 'I'm going to bite all your fingers off.' That's scary for a 3-year-old," Kieran explained, before adding that 2024 could be the year: "We think they might be ready for Home Alone this year." If not, then next year."
Elsewhere this week, during an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the "True Grit" actor also harkened back to when he filmed the 1990 holiday classic, admitting he didn't fully understand the film's plot then.
"I had no idea what that movie was about when I saw it, and I was in it," Kieran recalled of the first time he watched Home Alone. "I was at the premiere and I was dying laughing. It was the funniest thing I'd ever seen. I had no idea what the movie was about." | BGNES
