Vice President Kamala Harris fiercely criticized Donald Trump. Harris called her rival in the US election "increasingly unhinged" and attacked him for what she called "incredibly dangerous" comments about Adolf Hitler, AFP reports.
Harris' words came after Trump's former presidential chief of staff, John Kelly, disclosed revelations about the Republican's admiration for the Nazi dictator.
"It is deeply disturbing and incredibly dangerous that Donald Trump would invoke Adolf Hitler, the man who was responsible for the deaths of 6 million Jews and hundreds of thousands of Americans," Harris said.
"All of this is further proof to the American people of who Donald Trump really is," the Democratic presidential candidate added.
Kelly told the New York Times that Trump has noted that "Hitler did some good things, too" and that instead of the U.S. military, "he wants generals like Adolf Hitler had."
He reiterated his warning that he believed his former boss "certainly falls into the common definition of a fascist."
Harris said that "Donald Trump is increasingly erratic and unstable, and in a second term, people like John Kelly will not be there to be guardrails against his inclinations and actions."
"So the bottom line is this: we know what Donald Trump wants. He wants unchecked power," the Democrat added, warning that Trump wants a military that is "loyal to him" and not to the U.S. Constitution. | BGNES
