Grigor Dimitrov maintains his position in the top 10 of the world rankings even after the end of the year's last Grand Slam tournament - the US Open. The Bulgarian tennis player reached the quarterfinals in New York and remains in 10th place in the world with 3965 points and more than 300 points ahead of 11th-ranked Alex de Minor.
Dimitrov also has a real chance to qualify for the ATP Finals for the second time in his career. He has accumulated 2,835 points since the start of the year and is 10th in the race for Turin. For the moment, the top 8 is closed by De Minor, who has 3305 points or 470 more than Grigor. Curiously, outside the top 8 is seven-time champion Novak Djokovic, who is in ninth position with 3,260 points.
Yannick Siner and Alexander Zverev have already secured a place in the ATP Finals at the end of the season.
The Italian is a convincing leader in the world rankings with 11,180 points and more than 4,000 points ahead of second-placed Zverev. | BGNES
