A Greek Air Force F-16 Block 52+ fighter jet crashed in the sea area near the island of Psatura, north of Alonissos, Kathimerini reports.
"The pilot was able to use the ejection system from the aircraft. The pilot from the 337th Fighter Squadron of the 110th Fighter Wing was rescued at 15:02 by a Super Puma helicopter of the 130th Fighter Wing of the Air Force and was directed to the 251st General Hospital of the Air Force," the Greek army said
The aircraft was reportedly involved in a training flight. / BGNES
