In September, an actress filed a sexual assault complaint against Gerard Depardieu, AFP reported.
Hélène Darras said Depardieu sought unwanted sexual contact from her while filming a movie in 2007, Paris prosecutors said, confirming a report by the France 2 television channel.
Investigators are looking into the complaint, which is likely to fall under the French statute of limitations, to decide whether to open an investigation.
Darras said Depardieu groped her when she was 26 years old and was acting as an extra in the movie "Disco."
He "ran his hand up my thighs and my butt," then "said straight up, 'Do you want to come into my dressing room?'" she adds.
Daras declined the offer, but "it didn't change anything," she continued. "He kept groping me between takes."
In 2020, Depardieu was charged in Paris following complaints of rape and sexual assault following a complaint by actress Charlotte Arnold.
Since then, other women have also accused Depardieu of sexual assault in the press.
In October he insisted he was not a "rapist".
"I have never abused a woman," he said, adding that he would not participate in "any projects" given the "context" of the allegations. /BGNES
