Gareth Southgate is no longer England manager

England coach Gareth Southgate has quit his post after losing the Euro 2024 final to Spain. The Football Association of England informed that the decision was made by the specialist himself.

"As a proud Englishman, it was the honor of my life to play for England and manage England. It meant everything to me and I gave it my all. But it's time for a change and a new chapter. Sunday's final in Berlin against Spain It was my last game as England coach," the coach told the FA website.

"I joined the FA in 2011 determined to improve English football. During that time, including eight years as manager of the England men's team, I have been supported by some brilliant people who thank me from the bottom of my heart.
