France expects China to send 'clear message' to Russia on war against Ukraine

The French foreign minister said that Paris expects China to send "clear messages" to its close partner Russia over the war in Ukraine, after meeting his counterpart in Beijing.
"We expect China to send very clear messages to Russia," Foreign Minister Stéphane Ségournet said at a news conference with China's top diplomat Wang Yi.
Sejourné said his country was not seeking economic separation from the Asian giant.
The French minister called for an "economic rebalancing" to ensure that trade is "healthy and sustainable."
"It is not desirable to separate ourselves from China," Cejournet said. / BGNES, AFP
