Emergency services said four people were being treated for "non-life-threatening injuries" after a knife attack during a church service in Sydney, AFP reports.
The incident comes just two days after six people were killed in a knife attack at a shopping center in Sydney's east.
Live coverage showed the horrific attack, which took place during a service at an Assyrian church in the city's west.
A man approached the altar, raised his right hand and stabbed the preacher with a knife, causing panic and screams among the congregation.
Several people rushed to his aid.
The ambulance service said four men aged between 20 and 70 were treated for injuries including lacerations.
Local media reported that the incident took place at Christ the Good Shepherd Church. / BGNES
