A jury has ordered former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a former lawyer for Donald Trump, to pay $148 million in damages for defaming two Georgia election officials with his false claims that they engaged in election fraud, US media reported.
The eight-member federal jury awarded Ruby Freeman and her daughter Vandrea "Shay" Moss $16 million each for defamation, another $20 million each for emotional distress and $75 million in punitive damages. /BGNES
