Floyd Mayweather Jr dominated John Gotti III in exhibition rematch

Floyd Mayweather Jr. proved that, at 47, he still has class in the boxing ring after dominating John Gotti III in an exhibition rematch between the two that took place in Mexico City, Mexico.

Unbeaten in the ring in his professional career, Mayweather Jr. faced the grandson of the deceased mob boss John Gotti again after the match between them last year ended in a melee between the entourages of the two. Now, Mayweather Jr. was clearly the better of his opponent over the course of eight rounds, and in the end there was no winner due to the nature of the match, but it was clear to everyone who deserved to win.

A curious moment in the exhibition bout came in the second round when Mayweather Jr. (50-0) called for a referee change, and one was made after the former professional boxer received a warning for a blow to the back of Gotti III's head. After the meeting, he and Mayweather Jr. exchanged warm words.

It's still unclear who the American will face in his next exhibition fight, but it certainly won't be 62-year-old boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez. It is not excluded that Mayweather Jr. will fight with one of his former rivals - Victor Ortiz. | BGNES
