"Our priority is to establish a ceasefire as soon as possible and to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza without any obstacles."
This was stated by Turkish President Recep Erdogan at the joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Cairo, Anadolu Agency reported.
"During our consultations today, we agreed to increase the trade volume to $15 billion in a short period of time," Erdogan said.
"Egypt is making significant investments in the defense sector. I believe we will join forces with Egypt and develop joint projects," he added.
The Turkish president said Israel's actions aimed at depopulating Gaza were "totally unacceptable". Erdogan noted that the cooperation between Ankara and Cairo to stop the bloodshed in Gaza will continue.
"We are determined to strengthen our contacts with Egypt at all levels to establish peace and stability in our region," he added.
