The European Parliament voted on the new composition of the European Commission, reports BGNES.
Bulgarian Commissioner Ekaterina Zaharieva will be responsible for the "Start-ups, Research and Innovation" portfolio.
MEPs backed the composition of the next European Commission with 370 votes in favour and 282 against, which will allow the new members of the executive body to officially start work on 1 December.
