Emma Watson posed for the cover of British Vogue and told the publication how glad she is to have stopped acting.
According to the actress, after giving up her acting career, she felt much freer. Watson said she sometimes felt like the characters she played on screen were "much more real" than she was.
"I'm so glad I gave up acting. I feel like I have my voice, creative space, and freedom that I didn't have before: I've become more independent. I'm so glad I allowed myself to relax from the flow of things for a bit, not knowing what would happen next. Knowing where I am now, I wouldn't trade my freedom for anything."
Emma said that by focusing on herself, she gained a new perspective on Hollywood, where she is constantly surrounded by beautiful and successful people. According to her, none of this matters if you're not happy with yourself when the cameras aren't on you.
She added that thanks to her rejection of a career, she was able to find time for many important things: for example, she studied creative writing at Oxford. "Because my career has developed so quickly, the decision to spend time on these things seemed very important to me," she said.
At the moment, the actress has not acted in films for four years: the last feature film in which Emma Watson starred was Greta Gerwig's Little Women. Now she is concentrating on her studies. In addition, the actress opened a company for the production of alcoholic beverages together with her brother./BGNES
