Former US President and Republican Party candidate Donald Trump will interview tech billionaire Elon Musk next week, Politico reported.
"Having a big interview with Elon Musk on Monday night - details to come," Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.
Musk has yet to comment on the planned interview.
The tycoon officially endorsed Trump last month. This happened on the same day Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.
After Musk acquired X, formerly Twitter, he reinstated Trump's account, which had been suspended by the platform's former owners following the January 6, 2021 unrest at the US Capitol.
At a campaign rally on Aug. 3, Trump appeared to abandon his longstanding opposition to electric cars for Musk's support.
"I'm for electric cars, I have to be, because Elon has supported me very strongly," he said.
Musk has denied reports that he plans to pour some of his vast fortune into Trump's campaign. He said he would not "donate money to any of the candidates" for president. | BGNES
