From 2025, the electric car manufacturer Tesla will start producing and using humanoid robots, the owner of the company Elon Musk has announced.
The robots, which mimic humans in appearance and movements, will be used first within the company and then made available to the general public.
The tech billionaire said a robot named Optimus will be used at Tesla this year.
"I hope that by next year Tesla will have really useful humanoid robots for indoor use. High-tech production for other companies will happen in 2026," Musk wrote on his social platform X.
Musk has focused on investing in robotics. His company Neuralink has been working on brain chips for several years. | BGNES
