Billionaire Elon Musk has described as "false" claims that the Russian armed forces have begun using the Starlink satellite internet service in the war against Ukraine, the BBC reported.
Ukrainian military intelligence previously said Russia was using Musk's satellites to facilitate battlefield communications. The intelligence agency released an audio recording of an exchange of words between two Russian soldiers from the 83rd Assault Brigade in the Donetsk region. The Russians are said to be conducting the call using Starlink.
Ukrainian intelligence has not specified how many terminals it believes Russia has or how they may have been obtained. Spokesman Andriy Yusov said the Russians' use of Starlink was now "systematic".
Technology played a key role in helping Ukraine, especially in the early months of Russian aggression. /BGNES
