The Dallas Mavericks evened the Western Conference semifinal playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder after winning Game 2 119-110 on the road. The main credit for the success of the Mavericks was the team's star Luka Doncic, who played with pain in both knees, but despite this, he scored 29 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals.
The Mavericks started strong and their lead reached 14 points midway through the second half, shortly after the start of the third quarter the Thunder took their first lead of the game. However, the visitors pulled ahead again and achieved a very important success, with which they leveled the series at 1-1 and now have the home advantage.
PJ Washington added 29 points and 11 rebounds for Dallas, while Kyrie Irving had a quiet night, scoring just 9 points but dishing out 11 assists. For the Thunder, Shay-Gilgus Alexander finished with 33 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists, and Jalen Williams scored 20 points, but the home team made eight threes less than the opponent and that proved to be key.

In the East, the favorite for the title Boston Celtics suffered a surprising home defeat by the Cleveland Cavaliers with 94:118. Six Cavs players scored 12 or more points, and Donovan Mitchell led the way with 29. For Boston, Jayson Tatum scored 25 points, but the team made only eight three-pointers out of 35 attempts.
