British Foreign Secretary David Cameron will visit the Middle East on November 23 and meet Israeli and Palestinian leaders, the British Foreign Office said in a statement, the Guardian reported.
The former prime minister was appointed to the foreign policy post last week by Rishi Sunak, after he moved James Cleverley to the Home Office following the sacking of Suella Braverman over her criticism of the London police's handling of pro-Palestinian demonstrations.
On November 22, Cameron met with counterparts from Arab and Islamic countries in London to discuss the conflict between Israel and Hamas. At a briefing, the group - from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Indonesia, Turkey, Nigeria and Palestine - said Western powers in the UN Security Council faced a choice between demanding that Israel lift the blockade on humanitarian aid to Gaza, or to become complicit in Israeli war crimes and collective punishment./BGNES
