Dakota Fanning became the heroine of the new issue of Net-a-Porter magazine and in an interview with the publication she said that she would trade her Hollywood career for being a mother.
Dakota became famous even as a child when she starred in the movie "War of the Worlds" with Tom Cruise, and later increased her popularity with a role in the cult franchise "Twilight". But although she can't imagine her life without an acting career, Dakota would rather be a mother.
"Children are probably more important to me than anything else, even my acting career. If someone gave me a choice - career or children, I would choose children without hesitation. I'm one of those people who always dreamed of it."
"Being an actress is a huge part of my identity. I really don't know who I would be without it. But I also want to build my life and career so that I always have choices," Dakota adds.
According to the 30-year-old actress, she does not know if she will continue her career after becoming a mother. "I don't know how I'll feel when that moment in my life comes and how much I'll want to work. But since that moment hasn't come yet, right now I'm trying to fully enjoy the adventure of cinema."
"I have a lot of friends who are getting married and having children. I also have a three-year-old goddaughter and I have to decide what is really important to me. I don't want to be someone who is so absorbed in their career that there is no room for anything else in your life".
It is interesting that Dakota talked about her desire to become a mother in an interview with Vogue when she was already 23 years old. "I can't wait to be a mother. I can't wait to get married," she admits. Currently, the actress is not married, but there are rumors that she is dating Henry Fry, with whom she has been in a relationship since 2017. /BGNES
