According to the Czech top diplomat, Europe must increase its vigilance to counter these threats.
"We need much more determination in the fight against the Kremlin's influence than we have shown so far. The solution lies in strategic communication, sanctions, detection and the use of existing legal measures," he said.
Earlier this week, senior U.S. intelligence officials warned of intensifying malign influence campaigns in the United States by their adversaries ahead of the November 5 election.
U.S. intelligence officials said Russia continues to actively conduct influence campaigns aimed at supporting former President and Republican nominee Donald Trump while undermining the campaign of Democratic vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
In August, Mali and Niger severed diplomatic relations with Ukraine due to increased Russian influence in both countries. | BGNES
