Curry leads Golden State back to winning ways with 37 points against Philadelphia

The Golden State Warriors got back to winning ways after defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 119:107 at home in an NBA regular season game. In San Francisco, two-time League MVP Stephen Curry topped everyone for the hosts with his 37 points (70.6 percent shooting, 8 threes) and added 8 rebounds and 7 assists to his statistics.

It was Curry's third straight game with 30 or more points and his sixth straight game with at least 25 points. Warriors coach Steve Kerr fielded the 16th different starting five of the season with Klay Thompson missing the game due to illness. Jonathan Kuminga continued his strong performances as of late with 26 points and 7 rebounds and Andrew Wiggins scored 23 points on 80 percent shooting. For Philadelphia, reigning MVP Joel Embiid didn't have a strong night and scored only 14 points and 7 rebounds, while Tobias Harris led the way with 26 points.

Thus, after two consecutive losses with a one-point difference against the Sacramento Kings and the LA Lakers, Golden State recorded a valuable win. However, the team remains in 12th place in the Western Conference standings with a 20-24 record. The Sixers are fifth in the East with 29 wins and 17 losses, but are coming off their fourth straight loss.
