Co-stars from "Friends" sent Matthew Perry on his final journey

Matthew Perry's funeral took place at the private Forest Lawn Cemetery in the northern suburbs of Los Angeles. It lasted two hours.

His colleagues from the cult series "Friends" came to say goodbye to the actor - Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow, reported Variety. In his last time, Matthew was sent by his closest relatives: his mother Suzanne Morrison, his father John Bennett Perry and his stepfather, the Canadian television journalist Keith Morrison. In total, about 20 people attended the modest ceremony.

Aniston, Kudrow, LeBlanc, Cox and Schwimmer previously released a joint statement on Perry's death, saying: 

 “We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family. There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”

 

“In time we will say more, as and when we are able. For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty’s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.”

Forest Lawn is a grand complex commemorating the golden age of the Hollywood film industry, located near the studio of Warner Bros., where the comedy "Friends" was filmed. Many American stars are buried in this cemetery, including Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.

Matthew Perry died at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 55, his body was found in a jacuzzi by his assistant. The exact cause of death is not yet known. It is noted that no narcotics were found at the scene. Previously, in his memoirs, Perry spoke in detail about his struggle against alcohol and drug addictions. /BGNES
