The LA Clippers handed the Golden State Warriors their first loss since the start of the NBA season. The Scissors won their visit to San Francisco 112:104.
Ivica Zubac and James Harden each scored 23 points for the victory. Zubac dominated the rim, grabbing 18 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists. Harden, for his part, did not shoot well from the field - 6/19, but finished with 7 rebounds and 11 completions. Norman Powell scored 20 points and Derrick Jones Jr. scored 18.
For the Warriors, Anthony Wiggins was above all with 29 points. Steph Curry, who left the court with an ankle injury, added 18 points, Jonathan Kuminga finished with 12 points, and Kevon Looney recorded a double-double - 10 points and 11 rebounds. The Warriors lost for the first time of the campaign after wins over the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz on the road.
The Clippers are also 2-1 in the Western Conference. Their other wins also came on the road – against the 2023 champion Denver Nuggets. The Scissors host Portland in their next league game, while Golden State plays the New Orleans Pelicans at home.
