Cleveland stopped Oklahoma's winning streak in battle of NBA's best

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 129:122 at home in another regular-season game of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The game pitted the two best teams in the League, the leaders of the East and West, against each other.

The clash at the Cavaliers' home court did not disappoint, and ultimately, to the delight of the home fans, ended with a victory for their favorite team. The Ohio team achieved success with a balanced offensive game, with seven basketball players on the team finishing with 10 or more points, led by Jarrett Allen (25 points and 11 rebounds) and Evan Mobley (21 points and 10 steals). Darius Garland (18), Max Strus (17), Ty Jerome (15) and Dean Wade and Donovan Mitchell (11 each) also scored in double figures.

The Thunder also played well, but in the end they couldn't hold on and lost for the first time after 15 consecutive wins (the Cavs' streak reached 11 consecutive victories). Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was again the Thunder's top scorer with 31 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Jalen Williams finished with 25 points and 9 assists, and Isaiah Hartenstein came close to a triple-double - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins added 15 and 11 points, respectively, but their efforts were not enough.

Cleveland leads the East with a 32-4 record, while Oklahoma City, despite the loss, continues to lead the Western Conference with 30 wins and 6 losses. In their next games, the Thunder visit the New York Knicks, while the Cavaliers host the Toronto Raptors.
