Barbie and Ken are likely to appear on stage at next month's Golden Globe Awards, but the show's organizers are struggling to find someone with "kenthusiasm" to host the ceremony.
A host was still being sought as the Globes nominations were announced Monday morning, CNN learned. Two-time Oscar winner Chris Rock is among those who have turned down offers to host the Jan. 7 ceremony, a source familiar with the talks told CNN, along with at least four other A-list comedians.
A Rock representative declined to comment.
Rock, who has been invited to host the previous Golden Globes, last attended a major awards show in 2022, when he was also famously slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars for Jada Pinkett Smith's battle with alopecia.
Rock is likely to be nominated at the upcoming ceremony in the new category of best stand-up comedy performance on television for his Netflix special Chris Rock: Selective Indignation.
Another potential nominee for her performance in the Netflix series "Beef", Ali Wong, was also invited to host the "Globes" but turned down the offer, a source familiar with the matter told CNN./BGNES
