Cher wants to be the guardian of her addicted son

Cher has filed for custody of her son, Elijah Blue Allman, from her relationship with musician Gregg Allman, due to his struggles with substance abuse. This was reported by the publication PageSix, which has access to the documents.

The 77-year-old singer has asked to be allowed to become the sole guardian of her 47-year-old son's estate over concerns that he is unable to properly care for himself and "manage his own financial resources" due to his addiction .

According to Cher, her son has mental and physical health issues and any "funds allocated to Elijah will be immediately spent on illegal substances, leaving him penniless."

Elijah's income is said to be $120,000 a year as he is entitled to regular payments from a trust set up by his father. At the same time, Elijah's personal property was valued at zero dollars. The issue will be resolved at a court hearing to be held in March 2024./BGNES
