Kool & the Gang, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest and Peter Frampton round out the class of 2024 honorees.

Cher, Mary J. Blige and Ozzy Osbourne are among this year's new members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, an elite group officially inducted into the music pantheon during a star-studded concert gala.

Kool & the Gang, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, A Tribe Called Quest and Peter Frampton round out the class of 2024 honorees. They were honored at the ceremony, which was held in Cleveland, Ohio, where the prestigious hall is located.

Big Mama Thornton, Alexis Corner and John Mayall received special honors for "impact in music," while Jimmy Buffett, MC5, Dionne Warwick and Norman Whitfield received awards for "musical achievement."

Susan De Pass, a trailblazer for female executives in the music business, received the evening's award.

Dua Lipa kicked off the show with a performance of "Believe." Cher joined the popstar on stage to finish her 1998 hit, which is recognized as the first song to use auto-tune technology.

"I changed the sound of music forever," she said in her acceptance speech.

"It was easier to divorce two men than get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame," Cher joked. | BGNES
