Cameron Diaz has said the decade she was retired from acting was the best of her life.
The star returned to screens this month in a new spy thriller - "Back in Action" - with actor Jamie Foxx.
It's unclear if this is a definitive return to the profession. However, she said it "might be the beginning".
The actress noted that in recent years she has felt great pleasure in being a mother and wife.
Her last role was Mrs. Hannigan in the 2014 remake of "Annie," a film that also starred Fox. Diaz only officially confirmed her retirement from acting in 2018.
Fox, who has worked alongside Diaz in several productions, said he convinced her to return to the industry by asking her if she would "grace us with her incredible talent again."
When the 52-year-old Diaz received the script for this new project, she and her musician husband, Benji Madden, agreed that it might be time to put family on the back burner, at least for a while. | BGNES
