Cameron Diaz is ready to return to the big screen after a 10-year hiatus

Cameron Diaz is literally "Back in Action."

That's the title of her new Netflix movie with Jamie Foxx, which is her first in 10 years.

During a recent appearance on "The Graham Norton Show," Diaz said Foxx is the reason she came back to Hollywood.

"I had 10 years where I wasn't paying attention to anything," the star said. "I wasn't taking any advances and then I got this script and thought maybe it was time."

She gave high praise to her colleague.

"If I was going to leave my family for 10 hours a day, I wanted to do it with the most talented man in the entertainment business," Diaz said.

The two are old friends, having starred together in "Any Given Sunday" in 1999 and "Annie" in 2014.

In addition to being a wife and mother (she and her husband, musician Benji Madden, have two children), Diaz is also a successful author and businesswoman.

"I loved those 10 years for me and my family," she says of her time away from the sets. "But I thought, 'If I let this go, if I don't recommit and if I don't give it a chance, I'm a fool.

"Making movies is a privilege and we're all very lucky to do what we do," the star said. "That the door was open to me at all after a decade was amazing." | BGNES
