Bulgarian weightlifter Carlos Nassar made an impressive return to competition, setting a world record. Seven months after suffering a severe Achilles injury, he won the title in his 89 kg category at the World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The race is also an Olympic qualification for the Games in Paris next summer.
The 19-year-old Nassar achieved a fight of 393 kg, and on the way to it he also set a world record in the push - 223 kg.
In the throw, our talent made successful attempts at 165 and 170 kg, but failed at 175. With this result, he remained behind the leader Yeison Lopez from Colombia - 180 kg. In the push, however, the native athlete had no competition, overcoming 205 and 211 kg in succession, then confidently handled 223 kg for the world record.
