Bulgarian MEPs took their seats in EP committees, Ilhan Kyuchuk headed the legal committee

The MEP from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) Ilhan Kyuchuk was elected as the chairman of the legal committee of the European Commission.

MEP from the BSP, Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the EP, Tsvetelina Penkova was elected as the first vice-chairman of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.

Nikola Minchev from "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" and from "Renew Europe" was elected as the second vice-chairman of the Commission for Internal Market and Consumer Protection. His colleague Hristo Petrov is the fourth MEP in the Committee on Culture and Education.

Radan Kanev will work in the Committee on the Environment, the Subcommittee on Public Health and the Committee on Industry and Energy.

MEP Emil Radev was elected deputy chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs. He is also a member of those on civil liberties, justice and internal affairs and on petitions.

Andrey Novakov is the spokesperson of the EPP Group in the Committee on Regional Development, and Eva Meidel is the deputy spokesperson in the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy. Novakov is a deputy member in two committees - on culture and transport, and Maydel - in the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs.

MEP Iliya Lazarov was elected as a member of the Committee on International Trade and deputy member of the Committee on Agriculture.

MEP Andrey Kovachev was already last week elected chairman of the College of Quaestors and is part of the Presidency of the European Parliament. He is also a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and a deputy member of the Committee on Budget Control. | BGNES
