"It is surprising that the president of the republic does not protect the national interest. Rumen Radev declared himself a defender of "Gazprom" and against the Bulgarian national interest and the policies of the European Union, which the government implements." This was said by the Minister of Finance Asen Vasilev in a statement, after the President had previously appealed to the Constitutional Court regarding the fees for the transfer of Russian gas, informed a BGNES reporter.
"Today it became clear that the president referred the fee imposed for the transfer of Russian gas to the Constitutional Court. This will not stop the enforcement of the law. From October 13, fees are collected. We expect the first receipts on November 14 this year", reported Asen Vassilev. According to him, Rumen Radev's actions are a shame for the presidential institution.
He explained that the Bulgarian Customs Agency has indicated what the regime is for determining whether the gas comes from Russia or not. Vasilev emphasized that the country of origin of the gas must be certified by a supply contract.
The Minister of Finance specified that the money contributed by Lukoil so far amounts to BGN 154 million.
"All solidarity contributions must be paid by October 31," Vassilev reminded.
"In order any minister to be replaced,"We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" should request this replacement," he emphasized. /BGNES
