Defense Minister Todor Tagarev will participate on November 14 in the meetings of the Foreign Affairs/Defense Council and the Steering Board of the European Defense Agency, which will be held in Brussels, Belgium.
The Council meeting is expected to discuss issues related to EU support to Ukraine in light of Russia's ongoing military aggression. Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is expected to join the talks via video conference.
The meeting will also discuss issues related to the implementation of the EU Rapid Deployment Capacity (EU RDC), EU missions and operations in the Sahel region and the Western Balkans, as well as the security situation in the Middle East and South Caucasus.
At the meeting of the Steering Board of the European Defense Agency, ministers will discuss issues related to the Agency's budget for 2024, as well as priorities for the development of defense capabilities. /BGNES
