Bulgaria, Japan and Ukraine to buy $6.9 billion worth of weapons from the US

Bulgaria, Japan and Ukraine are buying a total of $6.9 billion in arms from the United States, the Pentagon announced.

The U.S. Defense Department has awarded the Boeing Company a nearly $7 billion contract for small-diameter bombs. The order will be performed at Boeing's plant in St. Louis, Missouri.

The contract includes foreign military sales (FMS) to Japan, Bulgaria and Ukraine. The end date is December 31, 2035.

Most likely the armament is for aircraft, as the published document is in the Air Force section.
