The victory at the Stade de Luxembourg keeps Bulgaria in the fight for promotion to League B.
Kraev's debut national goal was the work of a skilful assist from Fabian Nürnberger, who fired a precise shot into the bottom right corner.
Despite pressure from Luxembourg in the second half, Mitov's imperious presence ensured the clean sheet.
The win pushed Bulgaria's tally to eight points, guaranteeing it will avoid finishing last in the group. With a win against Belarus on Monday (November 18) in Sofia, the team could finish in first place, earning promotion, or second, leading to a playoff for League B.
More than 8,000 fans attended the match, including 400 Bulgarians who supported the Lions. Bulgaria remained unbeaten against Luxembourg, continuing a proud tradition.
