Bulgaria bows to the memory of the heroes who died for its freedom

The culmination of the celebrations on the occasion of 146 years since the Liberation of Bulgaria was the solemn dawn that illuminated the sky over the center of the capital Sofia, BGNES reported.

Hundreds of residents of the capital and guests bowed before the feat of the heroes who died for the freedom of Bulgaria.

The ceremony began with the worship of the battle flags and the Holy Banners, reminding of the exploits and virtues of the Bulgarian Armed Forces. The President congratulated all the formed companies separately on "National Assembly" square, after which he delivered a speech.

 

The Guard's representative brass band and representative units of the National Guard unit, as well as military personnel from the Joint Forces Command, participated in the Ceremonial Review (dawn). The commander of the solemn inspection (dawn) is Brigadier General Dimitar Khlebarov - commander of the Command for Communication and Information Support and Cyber Defense (KIPKO).

 

In line were the holy flags, a symbol of the highest traditions and virtues of the Bulgarian military, reminding of the heroic feat of the Bulgarian army. These are the Samara Flag, the Flag of the 23rd Shipchen Infantry Regiment, the Flag of the 15th Infantry Lom Regiment, the Flag of the 13th Infantry Rila Regiment, the Flag of the 25th Infantry Dragoman Regiment, the Flag of the 30th Infantry Sheynovsky Regiment, The flag of the Gornooryakhov insurgents and the flag of the 24th Black Sea Infantry Regiment.

The Solemn Inspection (dawn) was attended by the Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Gabriel, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality Vasil Terziev, people's representatives, ambassadors and hundreds of citizens.
