The Puskas Arena in Budapest will host the final of the Champions League tournament in 2026, the European football association (UEFA) has confirmed.
A decision on the host of the 2027 trophy challenge has been postponed until September, with Milan most likely to be the venue, as long as the facility is not undergoing redevelopment changes at the time.
For the first time, Hungary will host a final in the most prestigious European club tournament. However, Puskas Arena, which has a capacity of 67,000 seats, was used for the 2023 Europa League final and Euro 2020 matches.
The Europa League final will be held in Istanbul in 2026 and in Frankfurt a year later.
In the Conference League, Leipzig and Istanbul were chosen to host the finals in 2026 and 2027 respectively.
The battle for the 2026 Women's Champions League trophy will be at Ulevaal Stadium in Oslo. /BGNES
