British Supreme Court postponed ruling on Assange

The British High Court has concluded the two-day hearing of the pleadings of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange's defence counsel and Washington representatives. The defense filed an appeal against Assange's extradition to the United States, where he faces 18 counts of state secrets, threatening him with up to 175 years in prison.

The two senior judges heard testimony from both sides and decided not to make an immediate ruling. "We will reserve our decision," Judge Victoria Sharp said after the last court proceedings in the long-running case concluded. It is unclear when she and Judge Jeremy Johnson will announce their decision. / BGNES
