British rock legends Oasis have announced a world tour

British rock legends Oasis have announced they will reunite for a world tour starting in the UK next year after brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher ended their 15-year feud.

The band, who helped usher in the Britpop era in the 1990s with hits 'Wonderwall', 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and 'Champagne Supernova', have announced they will play shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and the Irish capital Dublin.

“The guns fell silent. The stars aligned. The long wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” Oasis announced alongside details of the tour, after days of hints and speculation about the reunion.

The band will kick off the tour with two nights at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital Cardiff from 4 July 2025, before playing six shows at Heaton Park in their hometown of Manchester.

It will then play at London's Wembley Stadium on August 2 and 3, Murrayfield Stadium in the Scottish capital of Edinburgh on August 8 and 9, before moving to Croke Park a week later.

"Their only concerts in Europe next year, this will be one of the biggest live moments and hottest tickets of the decade," read an online statement.

"Oasis Live '25 is currently scheduled to appear on other continents outside of Europe later next year."

Formed in 1991 in Manchester, Oasis are credited with sparking the Britpop revival, keeping fans on edge with public battles between Liam and Noel and their rivalry with London band Blur.

The sibling tension culminated in a brawl in Paris during the 2009 Rock en Seine festival when Liam broke one of Noel's guitars.

The brothers haven't performed together since the acrimonious split, but both still regularly perform their old band's hits to sold-out audiences.

So far, they have communicated publicly mostly through mutual attacks on social networks.

The reunion will take place 30 years after the release of Oasis' 1995 album '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?', which received international critical and commercial acclaim.

The brothers have previously threatened to reconcile, with Noel last year saying he would "never say never" about getting back together. | BGNES
