Brilliant Palmer dismantles Everton with four goals at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea crushed Everton 6:0 at home in the last match of the 33rd round of the English Premier League. Cole Palmer stole the show at Stamford Bridge, netting four of the the six goals.

The 21-year-old England international's recital began in the 13th minute when he slipped the ball between Jarrad Branthwaite's legs, combined with Nicolas Jackson and beat Jordan Pickford with a signature left-footed finish. Five later it was 2:0 and Palmer found the target again. Before half an hour had passed, the former Manchester City man completed his hat-trick - a perfect hat-trick of goals with his left foot, right foot and head. The hard-hitting Jackson got his name among the scorers at the end of the first half.

The visitors from Liverpool had no answer for the great efficiency of the Blues, which continued after the break. In the 64th minute, Palmer scored his fourth goal of the game, and curiously, there was a dispute over who should take the penalty kick, but in the end, the best man in the match shouldered the responsibility. In the 90th minute, Alfie Gilchrist, who came from the bench, made the final 6:0. In the standings, Chelsea are in ninth place with 47 points, three behind sixth-placed Newcastle and a game behind the Magpies. Everton continue their fight for survival, sitting in 16th position with 27 points, two behind bottom Luton with a game in hand over the Hatters.

In the next round, the Tofees welcome another relegation-threatened team, Nottingham Forest, while Mauricio Pochettino's men first face Manchester City in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, followed by the visit of title contenders Arsenal on April 23 in a postponed match of the 29th round of the championship. /BGNES
