EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Russia's war against Ukraine is the biggest threat to European security. He believes the EU should do more to help Kiev defend itself, the Guardian reported.
"I want to emphasize that Russia's war against Ukraine is the biggest threat to European security. We can and must do more to support Ukraine," said the top diplomat.
"This is the biggest threat to European security, that's why if we don't do it, we will pay a higher price. My proposal is to increase military support for Ukraine within the framework of the European Peace Mechanism. I will call on the leaders to reach an agreement as soon as possible because there is no more time," Borrell stated.
"Next month we have to increase our military support to Ukraine, as we have been doing so far by increasing the number of ammunition, but it is still not enough. More needs to be done. I don't think we have a sense of urgency when dealing with today's discussion will be intense," added the head of European diplomacy./BGNES
