"EU countries should send their anti-missile systems to bolster Ukraine's air defenses as Russia attacks its cities."
This was stated by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, The Business Standard reported.
"We have the Patriot, we have anti-missile systems. We have to take them out of our barracks, where they are just in case, and send them to Ukraine, where the war is raging," Borrell said during the G7 foreign ministers' meeting on island of capri.
"Otherwise, Ukraine's electricity system will be destroyed. And no country can go to war if there is no electricity at home, in factories, online, for everything," he added.
Ukraine's air defenses are a key issue for ministers meeting in Italy after Germany on April 17 called on the EU and NATO to do more to help Kiev.
"I'm sure we will do it, but we have to do it quickly," added the senior diplomat./BGNES
