Bon Jovi stopped a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville

Rock legend Jon Bon Jovi stopped a woman from jumping off a bridge in Nashville, ABC reported.

The incident took place on the evening of September 10 on the John Seigenthaler pedestrian bridge and was caught on surveillance camera footage. At the time, Jovi was shooting a music video with the bridge open to the public.

Footage released by the Nashville Police Department shows a woman standing on the ledge of the bridge that spans the Cumberland River. The footage shows Bon Jovi and another man approaching and talking to the woman, who is facing them.

"Bon Jovi convinced her to step off the ledge above the Cumberland River to safety," Nashville police said on social network H.

After about a minute, the star and the other person can be seen helping the woman back up the railing. The rock legend and the woman embrace before continuing to walk across the bridge with several other people.

The woman was taken for psychiatric treatment, a police spokesman confirmed. Nashville police praised Bon Jovi and his crew for helping the woman. | BGNES
