Struggling aviation giant Boeing reported a first-quarter loss of USD 343 million, reflecting recent safety problems that have slowed production and deliveries, AFP reported.
Boeing said it had scaled back production of the 737 program after the near-catastrophic accident in January involving an Alaska Airlines jet. The company is implementing a "comprehensive action plan" following a federal audit of the program, Boeing said. /BGNES
