Blinken warned Israel to avoid further escalation with Lebanon

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken warned Israeli authorities to avoid further escalation with Lebanon, Haaretz reported.
The US top diplomat's statement came during his meeting with Israeli National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer.
BGNES recalls that on June 18, the Israeli army announced that it has approved operational plans for a ground offensive in Lebanon.
Blinken also stressed the need to take additional steps to increase humanitarian aid to Gaza, according to the State Department. Planning for the governance, security and reconstruction of the Palestinian enclave were also part of the talks. | BGNES
