"One year later, Vice President (Kamala) Harris and I remain fully committed to the safety of the Jewish people, Israel's security and its right to exist," Biden said in a statement on the first anniversary of Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7.
The US president acknowledged that October 7 was also a dark day for the Palestinians. He noted that too many civilians have suffered during the year of conflict.
"I think history will also remember October 7 as a dark day for the Palestinian people because of the conflict that Hamas unleashed that day. Too many civilians have suffered too much in this year of conflict," Biden pointed out.
Kamala Harris, US vice president and Democratic candidate for the White House, also condemned the October 7 Hamas attack.
"What Hamas did that day was pure evil - it was brutal and disgusting. I am heartbroken by the scale of death and destruction in Gaza over the last year," Harris said. | BGNES
