Biden authorized Ukraine to strike with American weapons on Russian territory

US President Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to strike Russian territory with US munitions.
However, the US president limited the use of the munitions so that Ukraine could only hit targets up to the northeastern border with Russia, near the Kharkiv region, CNN reported.
"The president recently directed his team to ensure that Ukraine can use US-supplied weapons for counterfire purposes in Kharkiv so that Ukraine can retaliate against Russian forces that are attacking or preparing to attack them," said an unnamed official from the presidential administration.
The official added that Kiev had asked for nothing more than to be able to use American weapons to repel Russian forces advancing on the Kharkiv region. He added that the US is not expected to expand the authorized zone./BGNES
