Beirut and Rome discussed efforts to reduce tensions in Lebanon

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati discussed efforts to reduce tensions in Lebanon with his Italian counterpart, Giorgia Meloni, Anadolu Agency reported.
During the meeting in Beirut, the two heads of government discussed UN Security Council resolutions concerning the region and Lebanon.
Mikati has confirmed his country's commitment to fully implement all international resolutions, especially UN Resolution 1701.
He stressed the need for Israel to also fully implement the resolutions and end its attacks on Lebanon's sovereignty.
The Lebanese Prime Minister expressed his sorrow and condolences over the loss of seven people and the wounding of four others in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon the previous evening.
Meloni, who was on her first official visit to Lebanon, arrived in Beirut on March 27.
