Barcelona beat Osasuna to secure another El Clasico in the Spanish Super Cup final

Barcelona qualified for the final of the Spanish Super Cup tournament after beating Osasuna 2-0.

In Riyadh, the winners of the trophy broke the resistance of the opponent after the break. Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring after about an hour from Ilkay Gundogan's assist and in the third minute of stoppage-time academy product Lamine Yamal, making his debut in the competition, scored the second goal from Joao Felix's pass.

The Catalans thus overcame last season's Copa del Rey runners-up and will play Real Madrid in the Super Cup final. Real eliminated city rivals Atletico in a spectacular 5-3 extra-time clash.

The next edition of El Clasico, which will determine the new winner of the trophy, is also a repeat of the last final in the tournament, when Barca triumphed after 3:1. Ahead of the final on January 14, at 21:00 BST, the Blaugranas hold the record for most trophies with 14, two more than Carlo Ancelotti's side. /BGNES
