Arsenal overturn Brentford to move into second place

Arsenal made a successful start to 2025 after defeating Brentford 3-1 in a match from the 19th round of the Premier League. At the G Tech Community Stadium, Mikel Arteta's team faced one of the strongest hosts in the League, but managed to cope with the challenge.

The match started difficultly for the Gunners, after the Bees' striker Brian Mbemo opened the scoring in the 13th minute. The guests kept their cool and equalized in the 29th minute through Gabriel Jesus, and after the break they struck a quick double blow with goals from Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli in the 50th and 53rd minutes. No more goals were scored until the end and Arsenal won 3:1.
